Charles Olsen obtained his Master of Science in Nursing degree at Lincoln Memorial University in 2015. He spent his first five years working in community mental health. He opened Highland Behavioral Healthcare here in Crossville in October of 2020.

Previously, he worked 25 years serving clients with cancer, heart disease, heart transplants, trauma, and multiple other physical health problems in critical care units and the emergency room setting in both community hospitals in New York & Tennessee, & a level one trauma center at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.

He is a native to the Mid-Hudson Valley in New York. He moved to Crossville, Tennessee in 2005 with his wife and four children.

He has served in the Royal Ranger's program with Trinity Tabernacle Assembly of God for 7 years mentoring boys, worked with Samaritan's Purse doing disaster relief, worked as a volunteer with Standing Tall equine therapy, and also prepares and serves meals several times a year at the Cumberland Fellowship Storehouse providing meals for those without homes.

Charles is also a United States Navy Reserve veteran, where he served six years as a seaman & later, as an LPN.

Amanda Jewell obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Walden University in November of 2016. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017, with her last four years in community mental health. Insurances accepted are Medicare, Tricare, Commercial insurance with Aetna, Ambetter, BCBS, BHS (Behavioral Health Systems), Optum, UHC (United Healthcare), and UMR.

We Provide Treatment for:
ADHD, Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Dementias, Depression, Impulse Control Disorders, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and Schizophrenia

We are not currently accepting new patients with BCBS Medicare Advantage, Humana, or Medicaid. We will provide names of other providers in our area.
